The Writing Group has a new meeting day an place! Every third Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Scappoose Public Library and via Zoom!

7:30 AM to 3:00 PM at Heritage Park. Free burgers and hot dogs 11:30–2:00 PM. Drawing for a free electric bike at 2:30.

Storytime

Starting September 2023, Storytime is now every ✧Friday✧ morning, 10:30–11:30 AM. Join us for stories, singing, dancing, and playing with friends!

Budget Committee and Board Meetings

NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING - A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Scappoose Public Library District, Columbia County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for fiscal year July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, will be held on the 18th day of April 2024 at 6:30 PM, in person in the library meeting room and via the Zoom platform. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Email jweiss@scappooselibrary.org to receive Zoom access. A second meeting, if needed, will be held on the 16th day of May 2024 at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after April 5th, 2024, at the Library, 52469 SE Second St., Scappoose, Oregon, during library business hours or at the library website https://www.scappooselibrary.org/about-us/2024-2025-budget-documents This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.

Board Game Night

The Scappoose Public Library is hosting free board game nights for adults every Thursday, from 6 to 8 PM.

Drop-In Chess

Play chess with other kids, practice your strategy and moves, and learn from each other! Third Thursdays, 4:00–5:00 PM, starting October 2023.

Ukulele Jam

Thursdays, 10 AM – Noon.

Drop-In LEGO Play

Drop in for some building fun and meet friends after school! Wednesdays, 2:00–4:00 PM.
