Summer Reading Program 2026: Plant A Seed, Read

Programs and prizes for people of all ages! June 13th–August 31st.

Important Dates:

  • The 2026 Summer Reading Program starts Saturday, June 13th.
  • Youth Programming is June 13th–August 15th.
  • Treasure Chest Prizes can be picked up June 29th–August 31st.

Youth:

Youth from birth to entering their final year of high school can come to the library to register for the Summer Reading Program.

  • First Visit: Sign up and choose a team, a bracelet or keychain, their first charm, and receive an optional calendar and tracker.  Add a team sticker to the scoreboard.
  • Every Subsequent Visit: Add a team sticker to the scoreboard.
  • Every Subsequent Week: Check in with the library staff and choose another charm.
  • Every 10 Days of Reading: Add a picture to the garden mural.
  • With Their 4th Charm: Choose a prize from the treasure chest!
  • After 40 Days of Reading: Add their name to the Book!

Adults:

Adults can come to the library to pick up this year's Summer Reading Challenge, or they can print this PDF at home. Upon completion they can turn their tracker into the library and choose their prizes, as well as receive a raffle entry for a grand prize.

Youth Events (June 13th–August 15th):

Movies by Moonlight (Friday Nights in August):

A series of four family friendly movies will be shown with thematic activities and events each Friday Night in August. Enjoy a summer evening outside. Food vendors will be on site with snacks and full meals available for purchase.
