Movies by Moonlight

Scappoose Public Library and the City of Scappoose are proud to announce free Movies by Moonlight in Heritage Park to be held each Friday in the month of August at Heritage Park in Scappoose (52469 SE Second Street). A series of four family friendly movies will be shown with thematic activities and events each night. Enjoy a summer evening outside. Food vendors will be on site with snacks and full meals available for purchase.

  • August 7th: National Treasure (2004) with live music from Old Joints.
  • August 14th: Cars (2006) with live music from by Mo Philips.
  • August 21st: Field of Dreams (1989) with live music from Big River Big Band.
  • August 28th: Forrest Gump (1994) with live music from The Tiki Men.

All movies start at dusk with pre-movie events beginning at 7 PM. Load up the car and bring the kids, blankets, and a stadium chair for some free evenings outside at the movies. In the event of rain, the showing will be rescheduled. Please remember that alcohol and smoking are not permitted in the park.
