FOSPL Home
The Friends of the Scappoose Public Library (FOSPL) is a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting our local library in a variety of ways. We hold several book sales a year with all proceeds going toward purchasing materials, books, activities, and more for the library.
We sell books, CD's and DVD's donated to us by the public. You may drop your items off at the library's front desk
The FOSPL meets about 3-4 times per year for an hour long meeting held at the library. The library director attends the meeting. This is an open meeting for all officers, staff, volunteers, and interested library patrons. During the meetings we plan upcoming events, decide how book sale money will be allocated, review volunteer opportunities and more. We also may donate books we are unable to use to other non-profit organizations and community centers in the area.
We welcome anyone to join who is interested in furthering the success of our library by attending meetings, volunteering to cashier at book sales, working on special events, shelving books and more. You can volunteer a few hours a year or a few hours a month. Fill out a volunteer form!
We are extremely proud to be a part of helping our library upgrade materials, purchase computers, add shelving, and expand the Summer Reading Program. We hope others will also want to participate in the future growth of our library. Please, come visit the library today!
