Scappoose Public Library will be offering curbside pickup of library materials during our open hours. Patrons may submit requests for any circulating material through the online catalog or telephone. Limits on requests are 25 per person.

Indoor Star Party

Take a free planetarium tour of the universe without leaving your seat with OMSI. Monday, October 18 at 7 PM. These Zoom based programs are an instructor led screen shared experience traversing through the night sky and beyond. Through instructor-led lecture, students explore the stars, planets, moons, and seasonal constellations. This is a FREE interactive virtual program for the whole family. Space is limited to 40 seats! October is TeenTober at the Scappoose Public Library. Teens will receive a scratch off ticket every time they check out items during the month of October! Win a $5 Dutch Bros. card, a yummy treat, or other fun swag. Stop by each Tuesday to pick up a Teen Take and Make Kit! Ages 13–19 years.

Book Club and Weekly Events

Scappoose Public Library presents: October Book Club Selection: On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous: A Novel by Ocean Vuong. We will meet in-person and on Zoom on Thursday, October 28th at 7pm. Please email staff@scappooselibrary.org for the link to the Zoom meeting.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Columbia County is participating in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.  Kids 0-5 years old can be signed-up to receive a FREE book every month in the mail.   The program is designed to encourage a love of reading from an early age.
