Become a Friend at your Library

The Friends of the Scappoose Public Library, or FOSPL, are always looking for volunteers and new members. FOSPL sponsors several books sales throughout the year that benefit the library with funds that are used to purchase books, supplies, furniture, and other things as needed.  For example, most of the shelving now in the library was purchased with donations from the Friends.  They also regularly fund a significant portion of the Summer Reading Program.

To become a member of the FOSPL, you can fill out a volunteer application.  When you apply, be sure to indicate what type of volunteer jobs you are interested in.  Some people like to make a yearly donation, while others like to roll up their sleeves to shelve books or work at a book sale.  Let us know how you think you could be most useful.  Return the completed application to or to the librarians at the Scappoose Public Library.

The Friends are a crucial part of our library, and provide support that contributes greatly to our overall mission.  We hope you will consider joining!
