Closed Memorial Day

The Scappoose Public Library will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026 for Memorial Day. We will reopen Tuesday, May 26, at 10 AM.

New Monday Book Clubs

We are introducing new book clubs in 2026! These book clubs will meet on the first floor of the Library at 6:00 PM, after the library has closed. The Romance Book Club meets on the second Monday of each month, the True Crime Book Club meets on the third Monday of each moth, and the Genre Book Club meets on the fourth Monday of each month.

We have a separate list of events for our youth! From toddlers to teenagers, there's something for every age range!

Weekly Adult Events

Fiber Friends

Bring your crafting project to the second floor of the Library every Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Produce Distribution

Wednesdays, 10 AM–Noon. Free and open to all.

Ukulele Jam

Thursdays, 10 AM–Noon. Bring your ukulele to this sing- and play-along.

Board Game Nights

Thursdays, from 6 PM to 8 PM. These events are free and open without registration. Intended for adults.

Monthly Adult Events

FOSPL Book Sales

The Friends of the Scappoose Public Library hold a book sale in the basement of the library from 10 AM to 2 PM on the second Saturday of every even month.

The Writing Group

The Writing Group meets on the third Sunday of each month at the Scappoose Public Library!

Adult Craft Night: Bag Charms

Come make bag charms with us! We provide the materials, you provide the imagination! Monday, May 4, 2026, 6–8 PM.

Romance Book Club: Icebreaker

We are reading "Icebreaker" by Hannah Grace. The Romance Book Club will meet Monday, May 11, 2026 at 6 PM to discuss it.

True Crime Book Club: The Five

We are reading "The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper" by Hallie Rubenhold. We meet at 6 PM on Monday, May 18, 2026 to discuss it.

May Book Club: The Rent Collector

For May the Library Book Club is reading "The Rent Collector" by Camron Wright. We will meet at 7 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2026 to discuss it.
