Library Meeting Room

The Scappoose Public Library is excited to announce the first-ever SPLAF! The Scappoose Public Library Author’s Festival will be held on October 11, 2025, from 11 AM–3 PM (in the library’s meeting room). The festival will introduce local authors to the public and allow attendees to hear from and learn about area writers. During the event, authors will read from their latest releases and have copies of their books to sell to attendees.

Columbia County is participating in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.  Kids 0-5 years old can be signed-up to receive a FREE book every month in the mail.   The program is designed to encourage a love of reading from an early age.
