Summer Reading Program 2024: Read, Renew, Repeat!
Programs and prizes for people of all ages! June 15th–August 31st.
Sign up for our Summer Reading Program online or at the library and then come get your swag! (Starts June 15th.)
Important Dates:
- The 2024 Summer Reading Program Starts Saturday, June 15th.
- Youth Programming is June 15th–August 23rd.
- Prizes can be picked up June 24th–August 31st.
Youth (0–High School):
Youth from birth to entering their final year of high school can sign up online or in person at the library.
- First visit: Choose a team and then pick up tracker, wristband or keychain, and first charm.
- Second visit: Choose a free book to keep forever.
- After one week of reading: Choose a second charm.
- After six weeks of reading: Choose a prize from the treasure chest or a second free book.
Note: You can only collect charms for the week that just finished, and up to one week prior. So to receive the maximum number of charms, you must come to the library at least every other week.
Adults:
This year adults can choose one of two options. You can either:
- Sign up, choose a team, and complete the same tracker and charm bracelet as the youth (as described above). To finish, you must read for at least six weeks before summer ends.
- OR
- Complete a three challenge pamphlet to win a sticker, a book, and a raffle entry for a grand prize. No sign-up needed for the three-challenge option, just complete the pamphlet and return it to the library. Pamphlets can be found at the front desk starting June 15th..
Youth Events (June 15th–August 23rd)
Movies by Moonlight (Friday Nights in August)
A series of five family friendly movies will be shown with thematic activities and events each Friday Night in August. Enjoy a summer evening outside. Food vendors will be on site with snacks and full meals available for purchase.
